Shri Sunil Taori

Shri Sunil Taori, 63 years old, Managing Trustee of Farmers Livelihood Mission Trust with Shri V V S N Rao as Joint Managing Trustee, is working towards enhancing the income of farmers and helping the farmers to adopt inter- crop cultivation of fruits & vegetables with long term timber trees as fixed deposit for future income.

Shri Taoriji has successfully transformed the farmers, covering more than 800 acres in Marathawada from traditional farming of wheat, rice and cotton causing farmers to commit suicide, to take up fruits & vegetables farming to get steady income.

Further, the Trust is encouraging the farmers to adopt organic farming and stop Chemical fertilizers & pesticides and GM seeds.

The farmers are encouraged to plant Mahogany, Teak, Sandal, Bamboo, fodder grass and other miscellaneous fruit plants along with fast growing Drumsticks, Papaya,etc

The Trust is encouraging the farmers to save and keep cows for which the farmers are provided with fodder grass and other support. In return, farmers are required to deposit the cowdung to make Vermicompost which is provided to the farmers at No Profit No Loss basis.

The Trust is proposing to adopt one remote village in Maharashtra where agriculture has stopped for the last ten years to convert the village into Smart Village to trigger Reverse Migration of farmers back to their village.
