Ms. Sruthi Narayanan

Ms. Sruthi Narayanan is highly educated, she has a Masters in Social Work. She completed her Masters of Philosophy in Social Work from Christ University Bangalore, 2018. She presented dissertation on case studies viz. “Impact of Hypertension on family & Social Relationships” and “Knowledge of Health Care Practices among Rural Women”. While pursuing her studies at Christ University, Bangalore, she attended Internships for visually impaired adults at Mitra Jyoti, Bangalore, August 2014.

She gained the knowledge of their visual imparity, their snags in a day today affairs viz. environmental challenges, social challenges, technological challenges, and architectural barriers that many buildings in some tertiary institutions are not accessible to the visually impaired because of the presence of high steps, curved stair cases, and narrow walkways and precautions and measures adopted by the Institution, Mitra Jyothi.

Ms. Sruthi Narayanan has also participated in several internships during her studies at Christ University on various programs viz. Internship in Centre for social action a community project of CSA, January 2015 Christ University, Bangalore. Internship in Strategic and action for independence, Chennai – Organization for differently abled adults, in the year 2015. Internship in Social work trainee in medico social work department at St. Johns, Bangalore in the year, 2015. Internship in Child and Adolescent, Psychiatric Department, NIMHANS, Bangalore in the year 2016. Internship in Government hospital, Nelamangala, Bangalore, in the year 2016.

Ms. Sruthi Narayanan has always zeal and intention to serve the mankind and preferred to be a best social worker by identifying people and communities in need of help. She believes in ‘Advocacy’ is an important aspect of social work. To raise awareness with and on behalf of their clients and the social work profession on local, state, and national levels.
